Don’t you want to know how this ends?
I really don’t understand such pessimistic thinking. While I do worry if the show will do Stannis’ triumph justice, it will certainly not show him arriving as a villainous act.
Why would the writers take time to establish that Stannis cares about Shireen, which definitely shows…
I became Stannis’ fan only when I re-read ASOS and then when I recently finally read all of ADWD, I really loved him. It’s hard for me to specify if I’d like him as much on the show if he wasn’t played by Dillane, but who cares - I still like him on the show :) We may not be getting Stannis’ hilarious lines from the books but I think his facial expressions make up for it.
As for next ep scene I think it’s gonna establish that Stannis’ army is weakened and that’s the reason for delay. I’m pretty sure Joffrey’s death will also get a mention. So I think this will justify the whole ‘why are they still there?’ question from 3x02.
So far the only thing that pisses me off is the audience reaction - Stannis is boring! Stannis is a villain! What’s the point of his scenes? Why can’t we see more of Dany or Tyrion instead? - but when reading things like that I just close my eyes, count to 10 and think SOON.
You gave me life.
The Northern girl. Winterfell’s daughter. We heard she killed the king with a spell, and afterwards changed into a wolf with the big leather wings of a bat, and flew out the tower window. x
